Drivers will soon be able to check Driver CPC status online
Drivers will soon be able to check the status of their Driver CPC qualification online. The DSA is currently developing a webpage that will allow drivers to view how many DCPC training days they have on record.
The service will mean drivers can check for themselves, making it easy for them to see their record and show employers precisely how much training they have completed. If a training record isn’t live within five days of training, drivers should contact their trainer and, if the matter is not resolved satisfactorily, advise DSA via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Drivers will be able to register for the service at http://www.direct.gov.uk/checkdrivercpc. This link will become live soon, the DSA have said.
Approved training centres must still issue a record of attendance to each participant. Whereas UK licence holders will receive their driver qualification card (DQC) automatically after receiving their 35 hours training, non-UK licence holders need to submit their records of attendance to DSA with an application when they have completed their periodic training.
DSA state that the Certificate of Attendance is the property of the driver and must not be retained by the employer.
Records can also be checked by phoning 0191 201 8112.
